For grocery store shopping visit Pali located to the left as you enter SJDS. The meat department is excellent and affordable but fresh fruits and vegetables might not thrill you. Wait times to pay are often long. It is best to shop here at 8 am when they open.

 

For fresh vegetables and spices we have several small shops, the Municipal Market or from the numerous farmers selling on street corners. 

The Market represents a galley of stores, grocery stores, dining rooms, toilets, produce and fruit markets and a fresh meats.

For unique spices, Sanchez is the type of store where you will find one of everything. Open from 8am to 11pm, Sanchez is, from the Barrio Cafe, one half block south, San Juan del Sur.

The city is now home to several new express markets, some are open 24-hours.
